Lesson 3: Explore
1. Do you need an e-portfolio?
Actually, I don't feel strongly in that I need an e-portfolio. Personally, the most significant qualifications of the online tools will be the size and awareness. Specifically, that means how many people have signed up to that service and how many people are actually using that online tools. Since the e-portfolio is like an interactive tools, we obviously need interactions with other people. In order to have interactions, the large numbers of people should currently using that service.
2. What are the main advantages and disadvantages you see in having an e-portfolio in addition to (or in place of) a traditional resume? Please see some of the examples below.
Since the e-portfolio is like a casual versions of the traditional reusme, the employee can explore in more detail with the applicant's personality, character and prospective qualifications to the work when reviewing the applicant's traditional resume. Therefore, I think it is beneficial to submit an e-portfolio to enrich your traditional resume if the company permits the submission of an e-portfolio. The likely disadvantages will be the leak of your personal information. Since virtually anyone can post your blog, there may be some personal information in the blog.
